February

The last week of February came around and it got kinda of crazy around here. Misty and Cole came for a week visit. Josh needed to get some work done in the house that Cole couldn't be around, so he didn't get to come with them. Everyone was finally healthy, or so we thought and they had a break in the weather so they traveled down here. Cole got sick the first night he was here and ended up spending most of the first couple of days quarantined at Grandma's house. After a couple of days of not throwing up and no fever we managed to get back together between snow storms and horrible roads. The weather this winter was a mess! We did manage to get pictures taken, but I don't want to that again with 4 kids any time soon. I thought getting the girls to both smile at the same time was tough...I had no IDEA! At the end of the week Misty headed back to NE and the following day, Grandma, myself and the 3 kids packed up the car and headed back to NE for Blake and Laura's wedding shower. It was a quick up and back trip, but we managed to see much of our families.

It is a good 4 1/2 hour trip from our house to Aunt Brenda's and Unlce Mike's without kids and only stopping once. We only had to stop once but we were stopped for almost an hour so we made it in 5 1/2 hours. Successful first road trip with three kids!

After a quick visit at Grandma Harsh's house we hit the road back home. It is a solid 5 1/2 hour trip with no kids. It took us about 7 hours to complete the trip...not bad.
