Tubes for Austin and quick update

Pictures and posting them...who has time for that!  Not me obviously!  Hopefully that will be changing soon!  I have my computer back, but my computer is still 6+ years old and a little slow.  I don't have much patience for it, nor the time.  It will be awhile before I am caught up on life around here.  I am finally getting to some e-mails that have been neglected for too long.

Austin got tubes in his ears early Monday (3-7-11) morning and they also drew blood for allergy testing.  We should get the results back within a week on the blood draw.  The surgery went great, he came home and slept for 3 1/2 hours and then ate the rest of the day.  He was in much better humor most of the day and by the end of the day he was crazy and as naughty as they come.  I really hope this helps everything, especially sleeping through the night again and not insisting on being held all day!  The sleep is for him and me...I am just as tired as he is!

Lots of things contributed to 3 ear infections in 3 months.  His mouth full teeth (12), the girls bringing home every germ found in Kindergarten, and possibly a food allergy or two.  All of my kids have not been healthy at the same time since before Austin turned 1 in November.  Can you say it has been a long winter?  We have had it all around here.  All I can say, their immunity better be built up after this winter!!

He is TROUBLE and a busy little man when he is in a good mood.  It is a good thing he is cute, b/c his disposition has not been cute for most of the last 3 months.  Poor guy!   He is a monkey, climbing on everything from chairs to get things off the counter or to get on top of the table, the toilet to get things off the counter or just climb on top of that too, or he even thinks that he can climb ladders (like the one to Jaylin's top bunk).  AHHHH!  Good news he has master the stairs (inside ones), but he isn't very careful so we still have the gate at the top of the stairs.  He has also figured out how to open all the doors unless they are locked.  Smart little turkey he is.  He isn't saying a lot of words, but we are hoping that the tubes will help with that too.  When we took him in last Monday (2-28-11.), he completely failed the hearing and pressure test.  They are pretty sure that is just temporary from all the fluid that was sitting behind the ear drum.  We will find out for sure Wednesday the 23rd during our follow up appointment.  It isn't that he can't hear, it is just muffled and not clear and probably hasn't been for the past 3-4 months.  He is definitely your typical 15 month old little boy...loud, excited, full speed all the time with a little bit of naughty to make it all interesting.  Don't get me wrong he can be very sweet sometimes too...he loves to give hugs and his kisses are messy and loud as he blows on your skin (face, leg, arm or he might pull on your shirt to get to your belly).  He is a funny kid and while some days I wonder what we were thinking asking for another one, I can't imagine our life without him or the girls.

The girls are really doing great in Kindergarten, they love their teacher and are learning tons.  If Jaylin didn't have to wake up until 8:00 to go she would love it even more.  They have missed a lot of school b/c of being sick and they really missed it when they were home.  Don't let yourself be fooled, they love to have days off when they are healthy and we have had plenty of snow days that might have drove me a little crazy.  Combine those with them being home sick...that makes for a crazy winter.  Everyone is looking forward to spring and summer.

Below are a couple of pictures around Christmas, two from his birthday (I have a post started that I will finish) and the last one is a recent picture. It took forever for my lovely computer to upload these, so this is all you get right now...more another day!
